How to obtain continuos coverage in the crippled versions of RFB45

1) Remove the batteries and wait until all the characters on the display disappear then wait another minute.
2) Now power up the radio with only 3 V, this can be easily obtained
mounting one of the four batteries backward.
3) Mount the batteries in the usual mode or apply the normal 6 V supply.

Now the coverage is continuos from the end of MW till 29.999 Mhz, FM
band starts from 76 Mhz but over 100 Mhz does not function.

To reverse the changes repeat point 1) then apply the normal supply or
change the MW step, this seems to reset all.
